(HUNTINGBURG) - A Huntingburg man turned himself in Friday after police say he molested a girl.

The incident happened six years ago.

63-year-old Claude D. Taylor of Huntingburg is facing a Class A felony count of child molesting.

Police say Taylor walked into the Huntingburg Police Station and told them about several inappropriate incidents that happened with a 9-year-old girl. Taylor told police he had recently seen the girl.

Police contacted the Department of Child Services, who then contacted the family of the girl.

Taylor is being held in the Dubois County Security Center on a $20,000 cash bond. He was scheduled to appear in court today at 1 p.m. for his initial hearing. He has hired Victor J. Ippoliti to represent him.
