(WASHINGTON CO.) - Indiana Conservation officers arrested a New Salisberry man Monday night after they found him with meth and a gun.
55-year-old Stanley Flannery is facing charges of possession of meth, false informing, possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a handgun without a license.
Shortly after 7 p.m., Indiana Conservation Officer Matt Pearcy was on patrol when he observed Flannery acting suspiciously near a secluded lake. When asked for identification, Flannery initially provided a false name.
Flannery led Officer Pearcy to the woods to his makeshift campsite, where he continued acting very suspiciously. During a pat-down of Flannery, the officer found a loaded handgun, suspected meth and drug paraphernalia.
Flannery was arrested.
Police then discovered Flannery was wanted on multiple outstanding warrants for drug dealing offenses.
The Washington County Sheriff's Department assisted at the scene.
