Last updated on Friday, May 12, 2017

(DAVIESS CO.) - A Daviess County man facing two felony counts will appear in court later this month for a change of plea hearing.

According to Daviess Superior court documents, 31-year-old Joseph Tyler Brown is scheduled to appear on May 24th at 2 p.m. to change his plea.

According to Washington Police, Brown was arrested after he allegedly raped a woman at his home at 510 Northeast First Street last August. When police arrived they found a woman who claimed she had been raped.

The woman was taken to Daviess Community Hospital for an examination.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Brown told police that he did have sex with the woman, but that it was consensual. But police say Brown had multiple scratches and wounds on his face and stomach.
