(BEDFORD) - Scholarships totaling $361,360 were awarded Thursday by the Bedford North Lawrence Scholarship Foundation.
The foundation presented 271 scholarships to 124 seniors.
The scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, activities (both in and out of school), evidence of achievement in their chosen field of study and an interview with the selection committee.
During the past 49 years, the foundation has awarded more than $5 million in scholarships.
