Bloomington Police Arrest Man Linked To Seven Armed Robberies

(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police arrested 23-year-old Deandre LeShone Williams in connection to seven armed robberies.

Police say Williams was charged with robbing the Big Red Liquors store in the 2400 block of West Third Street.

Detectives believe Williams is likely responsible for a string of armed robberies that occurred in Bloomington in 2016.

Williams admitted to being responsible for six other robberies which that occurred between October 3, 2016 and December 12, 2016. Williams told police the weapon he used while committing the robberies was actually a BB gun.

The robberies were:

Williams lives in Gary, Indiana, and was on parole for a prior armed robbery charge.

Police say Williams traveled to Bloomington frequently to visit his girlfriend who lived in the 500 block of Muller Parkway.
