(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Mayor John Hamilton and Common Council President Susan Sandberg invite the public to join them and other local officials for a review of the recently completed legislative session.
Their comments will feature the impacts new legislation will have on the community and priorities going forward.
"The 2017 State Legislature went further than ever before toward eroding the rights of local municipalities. Council President Sandberg and I are deeply concerned about this overreach and hope to use this opportunity to make residents aware of the ramifications of recent Statehouse actions," commented Mayor John Hamilton.
The event will be held Thursday, May 4, in the Atrium of City Hall, 401 N. Morton St, from 5 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.
