Bloomington Church And Restaurant Partner To Host Fundraiser For HIV Services

Last updated on Friday, May 19, 2017

(BLOOMINGTON) - As a community-supporting gesture, Exodus Church and FARM Bloomington are pairing up to bring funds to Positive Link, a program which helps support HIV prevention and services in the region.

Reservations are needed by May 20 for the May 23 event. On that day at FARM Bloomington, patrons will pay $20 plus tax for a meal, with $10 of it going to the program.

This is not the first time Exodus has contributed to the success of Positive Link.

"Exodus Church provides support for our Gifts of Grace holiday program, adopting by far the most clients of any of our community partners.  Through their dedication, more than 100 of our clients received a gift at Christmas last year," says Jill Stowers, clinical lead manager for Community Health of IU Health Bloomington Hospital.

Donations from the dinner on Tuesday will be directed toward supplies for support groups, home supplies for clients and other direct-support efforts suggested by the church.

The meal includes a mixed green salad, choice of entrée - baked pasta with mushrooms and seasonal vegetables, or a grass-fed beef meatloaf with sautéed greens and smashed potatoes. Cobbler will be served for dessert.

To make a reservation, call (812) 323-0002.
