Last updated on Wednesday, May 10, 2017

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman crashed her car into Priority Fitness after suffering seizures on Tuesday.

According to a Bedford Police report, 23-year-old Trista Sayers of Bedford complained of body pain and was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.

The accident was reported at 7:58 p.m.

Police say Sayers was driving east on 16th Street in a 1999 Chevrolet Lumina when she suffered multiple seizures, causing her vehicle to cross into the opposite lane until it hit a curb. The car traveled onto a sidewalk in front of Priority Fitness, at 2217 16th St., striking multiple trees and shrubs.

The car hit the building before stopping against a sign post.

Police say there was a restriction on her driver's license stating "Medical condition exempt - physician certification required."
