Last updated on Monday, May 29, 2017

(MITCHELL) - A Bedford man was arrested last Saturday after police say they found meth in his vehicle.

Police arrested 45-year-old Michael Russell of Bedford on charges of possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance and a warrant for petition to revoke and driving while his driver's license was suspended.

On May 20th at 9:48 p.m. a Mitchell Police officer stopped Russell's vehicle after he failed to signal for a turn at Meridian Road and State Road 60 East. When the officer checked Russell's information, he found Russell was wanted on a warrant for petition to revoke his probation and he was driving with a suspended license.

When police searched the vehicle they found a sunglasses case that had a pipe and straw with meth residue in it.
