(OOLITIC) - An Oolitic man who overdosed inside the Dollar General Store in Oolitic has been arrested.

Police arrested 32-year-old Wesley Harden, of 20 Patton View Road on a warrant charging him with possession of a narcotic drug, unlawful possession of a syringe and maintaining a common nuisance and another warrant for petition to revoke probation.

According to a Lawrence County Superior Court II probable cause affidavit, , Oolitic and Lawrence County officers responded to the store on Hoosier Avenue after a report that a man had passed out in the store on April 27.

When police arrived, they found Harden unconscious on the floor.

An Indiana University Health ambulance crew suspected Harden had overdosed and gave him a dose of Nalozone, to counteract the opiates he could have taken.

Harden regained consciousness and was transported to the hospital.

Harden's truck was parked in the parking lot and police did an inventory before having the vehicle towed. Inside police found a small baggie with a substance that tested positive for meth. They also found a syringe.

Harden was on probation for a theft conviction stemming from June 2016 at the time of his arrest and is being held without bond.
