(BEDFORD) - The Bedford Community Band will present its first concert of the season on Monday at 7 p.m. at the Otis Park Bandshell.
Music will include "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," "Superman Returns," "Lassus Trombone," "From Sea to Shining Sea," "Theme from Schindler's List," "O Brother, Where Art Thou?," "Indiana Way Back Home Again," "On the Banks of the Wabash, Far Away," "Cotton-Eyed Joe" and "Armed Forces Salute."
The concert is free. Attendees are asked to bring their own lawn chairs.
Band is a volunteer music group, comprised of adult and student instrument players from the community, directed by Roger Gales, retiring associate director of bands and music department chairman at Bedford North Lawrence High School.
The band presents three concerts every summer. The second concert will be on July 4. Those who play an instrument and would like to join the band for the second and third concerts can come to the practices in the BNL band room on Tuesdays 7-9 p.m.
