(BEDFORD) - The North Lawrence Community School Board voted to raise the price of school lunches at their monthly meeting.
The cost will increase from $2.60 to $2.70 at the start of the 2017-18 academic year.
According to school officials, the United States Department of Agriculture is requiring schools to increase lunch prices to match the reimbursement rate for free lunches as a requirement for participation in the national school lunch program.
