NLCS Board Attempts To Recoup Unpaid Meal Fees

(BEDFORD) - The North Lawrence school board will attempt to recoup money the students failed to pay for meals.

As of March 30th, the school was owed more than $36,567 in unpaid meal fees.

Superintendent Gary Conner says that those fees have been sent to the school attorney Greg Pittman for processing and collection.

One reason for the unpaid fees, is that families who may be eligible for free or reduced meals have not applied for the funds.
