(NEWBERRY) - According to Greene County Police, officers arrested 48-year-old Lisa King after she was allegedly physical with another woman and three children in her home on March 24.

The woman told police she went to the home because King was intoxicated while watching the children and that she King had hit three of the four children in the face and then went after her.

Officers went to the home and King let them inside. She admitted to consuming alcohol but said she was not sure why police were called.

King told police she had been on the phone with a male relative who told her they were going to come and get the children. When the relative arrived all but one of the children ran out of the home because King refused to let the last child leave. That is when King says the relative pushed her down and began calling her names.

She then refused to answer anymore questions.

The relative told police he came to get the kids after one of them called him saying King had been slapping them. When the male arrived another woman also came on the scene and that is when King attacked the other woman and hit her in the face when the children went running to her.

Police say there were visible marks on the children including red marks and swelling to their faces. An ambulance was called to the scene and all three children were treated at the scene.

King was given a portable breath test, which resulted in a 0.255 percent blood alcohol concentration. She was arrested on preliminary charges of three counts of battery on a person less than 14, Level 6 felonies and battery, a Class B misdemeanor. She was booked into the jail without incident. She pleaded not guilty to the crimes on March 30. Court enters four separate No Contact Orders upon her release from custody. Bond was set at $5,000 or $500 cash bond. Pretrial Conference is scheduled for May 15 at 2:30 p.m.
