(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell man was arrested after he allegedly injured a 16-year-old boy during a domestic fight on Wednesday morning.
Brandon Peters of Jeffersonville is facing charges of battery, strangulation and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was also wanted on a warrant for failure to appear out of Dearborn County.
Mitchell Police were called to a home in the 300 block of Wells Avenue at 4 a.m. after a report of a fight.
When officers arrived they were met by a male juvenile who had suffered a bloody nose.

The fight began when the boy's stepmother asked Peters to leave the home. Police say Peters refused to leave and got mad at the teen when he began sticking up for his mother.
Peters was arrested and is being held in the Lawrence County Jail on a $15,000 surety or $1,505 cash bond.
