Bedford Man Arrested After Causing Problem At Residence

Last updated on Tuesday, April 11, 2017

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after police found him trespassing at a home on T Street early Sunday morning.

According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers responded to a call that brought them to a home in the 700 block of T Street at 10:15 p.m. Saturday night after a report that 35-year-old Michael McVicker was at the home and the residents didn't want him there.

"Officers gave Mr. McVicker a ride to his home on H Street and told him to stay inside and not return to the home on T Street," Parsley says. "But he didn't heed their advice."

At 1:47 a.m. Sunday officers were called again to the home on T Street after a report that McVicker had returned to the home.

"When officers arrived they found Mr. McVicker standing in the roadway," Chief Parsley says. "He was intoxicated and was arrested on a charge of public intoxication."
