(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County Extension Office is looking for volunteers for their annual Third Grad Ag Day.

The event will be held at the Lawrence County 4-H Fairgrounds on April 19.

Volunteers will assist the more than 525 third-grade students from North Lawrence and Mitchell school systems, as well as St. Vincent de Paul School.

Volunteers are needed to take students from one educational station to another until they have visited about a dozen stations. Each stop lasts about 10 minutes.

The day is broken into two sessions, the morning session will end at 11 a.m.

A catered lunch will be served at no charge to the volunteers.

The afternoon session will take place from noon until 2 p.m. and some cleanup work will then be required.

Anyone willing to volunteer should contact Dashia Meadows, extension office manager, at (812) 275-4623 or at dlmeadow@purdue.edu.
