Last updated on Tuesday, March 14, 2017

(MONTGOMERY) - A teen was slightly injured on Friday when the golf cart he was in was hit by a Jeep.

The accident happened just after 3 p.m. on the Odon/Cannelburg Road.

According to police, the 13-year-old was driving north in the buggy lane and attempted to turn left onto County Road 550 North. The teen told police that he looked in his mirror, but the sun was glaring and he did not see the Jeep approaching from the north.

The 2008 Jeep Cherokee was driven by 50-year-old Mary Knepp.

The golf car was hit in the rear as it turned into the path of Knepp.

The teen suffered shoulder and ankle pain in addition to a cut to the face. He was taken to the hospital by private vehicle. Knepp was not injured during the incident.
