Firefighter Suffers Major Injury While Battling House Fire

(WASHINGTON CO.) - A Posey Township Volunteer firefighters is fighting for his life after he was injured in a house fire near Beck’s Mill, Wednesday afternoon.

Firefighter Curtis Taylor, 23, is at the University Hospital in Louisville with spinal injuries. He had no feeling or movement in his legs.

Taylor was injured as he was saving a dog on the second floor of the home and was about to clear the floor when the structure collapsed on his neck and back.

Four departments responded to a house fire on Vincennes Trail Road.
