(BEDFORD) - Nominations for the 13th Annual Walk with Excellence are due Friday.
The award ceremony honors women who have made a difference in Lawrence County.
The awards are sponsored by the Lawrence County Community Foundation. The nominations don't have to be long.
If you'd like to nominate a woman to be honored, send nominations to lccf@cfpartner.org or by mail to: Lawrence County Community Foundation, P.O. Box 1235, Bedford, IN 47421. Nominations should include the name, address and contact information for the nominee.
The event raises funds for the Lawrence County Community Foundation scholarship for a non-traditional female student who is returning to school. Currently, the scholarship is $1,000 each year.
This year, the event will be conducted April 18 at the 4-H fairgrounds. Dinner starts at 5:30 p.m., with the program following at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the Bedford Chamber, Lawrence County Community Foundation and ACE Hardware/Ben Franklin in Mitchell.
Tickets must be bought by April 12.
