(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man was arrested after police traced an IP address from a stolen Xbox to his apartment.
Bloomington Police arrested 20-year-old Thomas Hursey on three felony charges of burglary, one felony charge of robbery and misdemeanor charges of theft and possession of marijuana.
According to police, Hursey is connected to several burglaries where video game systems, televisions and other electronics were stolen from Varsity Villas last month.
Armed with a search warrant, officers went to an apartment where Hursey lives with several other people. During the search officers recovered several stolen items including televisions and a PlayStation console. Police are in the process of returning the items to their owners.
Police also found a camouflage ski-mask that witnesses told police was worn by the person who performed the burglaries.
Hursey told police that he didn't commit the burglaries, but had purchased the items from another man. Yet he couldn't provide police with the name of that man or a description of the individual.
Police also spoke to Hursey's roommates. One admitted to being involved in two burglaries and admitted to stealing a pizza delivery car, which police later recovered.
The man who cooperated with police was not arrested, but charges are pending.
