(DAVIESS CO.) - The Daviess County Commissioners Tuesday approved spending $1,658,000 as the County’s 20 percent share of the cost of Phase III of the Odon/Cannelburg Road project.
County Highway Superintendent Phil Cornelius told the Commissioners that the bid for Phase III was more than a million dollars under the engineers estimate.
The low bid from Milestone is currently under required review by INDOT before the contract can be awarded.
The project entails installing widening the lanes and installing buggy lanes. Phase 3 starts around County Road 800 North and goes to Odon.
Work could start by the end of next month and ill take two construction seasons to complete.
