D-Vine Wine And Beer Festival Raises $20,000

Twenty-two wine and beer vendors and distilleries from around Indiana provided samples to taste and bottles for purchase as part of Developmental Services, Inc.’s 9th annual D-Vine Wine and Beer Festival March 4th at the Commons in Columbus, IN. The event raised $20,000 for individuals with disabilities.

(COLUMBUS) - The D-Vine Wine and Beer Festival raised about $20,000 for individuals with disabilities served by Developmental Services, Inc.

The ninth annual tasting event included for the first time distilled beverages.

"We're very excited to have the opportunity to participate in this event for the first time", said Alison Zook, Events Director for Cardinal Spirits in Bloomington, Indiana. Cardinal was one of four distilleries and 22 total vendors who took part in the D-Vine Fest.

Amy Kleinert, DSI Chief Development Officer, was happy with the level of support.

"It's great to see our community come together for some tasting and to support a good cause," said Kleinert. "I'd like to give special thanks to our sponsors and volunteers. We couldn't have this event without them."

As in year's past, D-Vine brought visitors to Columbus from many cities including Nashville, Bloomington, Indianapolis, and Lafayette, Indiana was well as St. Louis, Missouri. Around 750 guests took part in the tasting event.

Developmental Services, Inc. is a non-profit agency established in 1975 and serves children and adults with disabilities in over 40 counties in Indiana. DSI provides early intervention, residential living options, job training and placement, community connections, after-hour activities, computer literacy, cooking classes, health and wellness, life skills education and many other programs which help individuals live more independently.
