(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police are looking for a man who robbed Big Red Liquors at 2401 West Third Street.

Two employees told police they were taken to the back room by a man armed with a semi-automatic hand gun and gave him all the money in the store's safe.

The incident happened around 10:45 p.m.

Employees told police that a young black man approached the counter and showed his gun, which he had pointed to the ground. He then ordered the clerk to hand over all the money in the cash register. After the employee gave the man the money, he took them at gunpoint to a back room and told them to empty the store's safe.

After receiving the money, the man told them not to move and fled from the store.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Bloomington Police arrived at the scene at 10:48 p.m.

The robber is around 6-foot-1 or 6-foot-2, slim and was wearing silver-rimmed glasses. He was wearing a white St. Louis Cardinals jersey.

Both employees told police they had never seen the man in the store before.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Bloomington Police Department at (812) 339-4477.
