(BLOOMINGTON) - An Indiana University alumna and Lawrence County native is the new director for the Monroe County Emergency Management Department.
Allison Moore accepted the position earlier this month to replace Jim Comerford, who retired this year.
Prior to accepting the position, Moore had worked as the business manager for the Indiana Department of Homeland Security District 8 since 2008. The district is made up of Monroe Lawrence, Jackson, Washington, Bartholomew, Brown and Orange counties.
