Town Hall Meetings Set To Discuss New Annex In Daviess County

Last updated on Friday, February 24, 2017

(DAVIESS CO.) - Daviess County officials have set a series of hearings to allow the public to weigh in on a proposal to build a courthouse annex.

The proposed facility would move every office, except those directly related to the courts, and put them in a separate building.

The the series of meetings the public will be able to receive information, ask questions and comment.

President of the County Commissioners, Nathan Gabhart says the county needs an annex because the courthouse is running out of room to store records and as the county population has increased, more space to do the work at the courthouse is a priority.

The Daviess County Commissioners and Council are hosting the meetings to be held in Washington at the 4-H building on Wednesday, March 1, at the Odon Community Building on Monday, March 6th and at the Montgomery Ruritan Building on Monday, March 13th. The meetings will begin at 6 p.m.
