Tiny Treasures: Exhibit Of Miniature Art

Last updated on Wednesday, February 15, 2017

(BEDFORD) - For their first spring show, artists of the Lawrence County Art Association will present miniature work in different genres, including oil, acrylic, watercolor, ink, collage, and pencil.

Dating back to the scribes of the Middle Ages, miniature art is a specialty art form, often featuring extremely detailed work, exquisite in color, with a strength of composition which more than competes with larger paintings.

This is a perfect time to invest in artwork that is relatively inexpensive, yet delightful to view.

The Tiny Treasures show will open with a public reception on Friday, February 24 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Wiley Art center and will continue through March 18. The gallery is located at 1402 J St, Bedford, and open on Thursdays and Fridays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
