Three Arrested After Police Find Drugs And Handgun

Last updated on Monday, February 13, 2017

(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Drug Task Force arrested three people after drugs were found in a home in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue on Wednesday.

Police arrested 35-year-old Ceceila Arrowsling and 26-year-old Michael Ritchison, both of Bedford, on a charge of possession of meth with a firearm. They also arrested 31-year-old David Cobb of Mitchell on charges of possession of meth and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance with a firearm.

According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers went to the home armed with a search warrant after the task force received information about drug activity in the home.

When police arrived they found all three people there along with a variety of pills and other drugs they did not have prescriptions for. Police found: oxycodone, hydrochloride, suboxone, buprenorphine, naloxone, alprazolam, and Lyrica.

They also found a baggie that contained crystal meth, snorting tubes, digital scales and a handgun.

"There were two children who lived in the home, who came home from school while police were searching the home," Chief Parsley says. "Officers contacted the Department of Child Service who took care of the children. It is a sad situation when children are involved."

All three remain in the Lawrence County Jail. Arrowsline is being held on a $20,000 surety or $2,005 cash bond. Both Cobb and Ritchison are being held without bond because they both were out on bond at the time of this arrest.
