(SALEM) - The Salem Education Foundation Dollars for Scholars Dr. Edgar and Elinor DeJean Lion Legacy scholarship is taking applications.

Applications are due March 3.

This scholarship for Salem High School graduates is renewable for up to four years and the amount increases each year. Students need to log into their Dollars for Scholars account and update their application.

They also need a letter of recommendation from a professor and need to attach a college transcript. Students must be enrolled full time in college and pursuing their first bachelor's degree.

The student should email Counselor Jennifer Martin to let her know that he/she is applying so she can forward the info to the Dollars for Scholars Scholarship committee. The scholarship will be awarded on April 7 at the Lion Legacy Dinner at Salem High School.
