(BLOOMINGTON) - Local police and firefighters are investigation two arson fires that happened in a three-day span last week in a student housing parking lot.

Two vehicles were set on fire in the parking lot of the Arch Bloomington student apartment complex at 703 West Gourley Pike.

The first car fire happened on Wednesday when a Jeep was set on fire. The second happened at 3:30 a.m. Saturday when a Buick Regal was set on fire.

The first fire was not investigated as arson at the time. Because the second fire occured within days of the first, firefighters and police believe the two fires were set and possibly linked.

Anyone with information about either vehicle fire is asked to call the Bloomington Police Department at 812-339-4477 or the Bloomington Fire Department at (812) 332-9763.
