(MITCHELL) - A homeless man was arrested after police found three plastic baggies filled with crystal meth.

When police arrived they found 45-year-old Shadd Graves who appeared to be under the influence of drugs.

"He told officers inconsistent stories about what he was doing and why he was there," says Sheriff Mike Branham. "The officer explained to Mr. Graves his suspicion and asked if he could search him. Mr. Graves agreed to let the officer search him, and the officer found 3 plastic baggies with white crystal residue, which field tested positive for methamphetamine (1.1 grams)."

Graves was arrested on possession of meth

During a vehicle inventory following the arrest, the officer located multiple needles and Graves was additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
