(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man was arrested after he broke into a storage unit, stole a motorcycle and sold it.

Bloomington Police arrested 36-year-old Michael Ray on felony charges of burglary and auto theft.

According to police, the theft was reported Monday, when the owner of a storage unit at All American Storage on South Henderson Street discovered the padlock had been removed and their 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle had been stolen.

Police reviewed video from the storage company which showed a vehicle enter the lot several times. Then at 7:15 a.m. on February 5th the video showed the vehicle pulling into the lot pulling a trailer. The driver is then seen loading the motorcycle into the trailer and leaving.

The manager of the storage unit told police the vehicle belonged to Ray, who police say also has a storage unit at the facility.

On Wednesday, police located Ray who admitted to breaking the lock, seeing the motorcycle and returning with a trailer to steal it.

Ray told police he sold the motorcycle for $700 and didn't know where the motorcycle was now located.

Ray was arrested and is being held at the Monroe County Correctional Center where he is being held without bond.

Police have not located the stolen motorcycle.
