(SULLIVAN CO.) - A Linton man was injured and cited after a two-vehicle crash on State Road 154 in Sullivan County, Thursday afternoon.
According to an Indiana State Police report, at 1:10 p.m. officers were called to a two-vehicle crash on State Road 154 near County Road 350 West.
The crash resulted in minor injuries to one driver.
Troopers say a brown 2002 Ford F-150 pickup, driven by 56-year-old Robert Hardesty of Linton, was westbound on State Road 154 following a 2012 Victor 300 Fertilizer Spreader, driven by 30-year-old Adair Everhart of Carlisle.
As Everhart attempted a left turn into a private drive, Hardesty attempted to pass and in doing so the right front of the Hardesty vehicle impacted the left front of the Everhart vehicle.
Hardesty's pickup then traveled off the south side of the roadway and up and over an earthen embankment, finally coming to rest in the eastbound lane of State Road 154.
Robert Hardesty was transported to Terre Haute Regional Hospital for treatment of back, neck, and chest pain.
Hardesty was cited for unsafe lane movement.
Everhart was not injured. The fertilizer spreader was owned by Unger Farms of Carlisle.
The crash was investigated by ISP Master Tom Hanks. Assisting were ISP Master Trooper Polly Blackburn, Sullivan County EMS, and Morrison's Towing.
