ISP Identifies Man Struck And Killed On U.S. 50

(BRYANTSVILLE) - Indiana State Police has identified the man who was killed after being struck by a vehicle on U.S. 50 West Wednesday night.

Indiana State Police say 49-year-old Christopher Fitzgerald of Bedford died from injuries suffered in the accident.

The accident was reported at 11:36 p.m., at U.S. 50 West and Cassidy Lane.

According to Lawrence County Police Department's police log, a man called and reported that he had struck a man who was walking along side of the road with his vehicle.

Troopers say 47-year-old Michael Reynolds of Mitchell was driving the 2002 Dodge vehicle west on U.S. West, near Cassidy Lane when he struck Fitzgerald.

The accident remains under investigation.
