Brownstown Man Injured After Crashing Motorcycle

(BEDFORD) - A Brownstown man suffered a possible broken leg after he lost control of his motorcycle on loose sand on Ind. 58 East near Boyd Lane.

The accident happened at 7:36 a.m. Saturday.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, police found 39-year-old Miles Manifold lying near the side of the road.

Manifold was traveling west on Ind. 58 and started to negotiate the curve on his 2013 Harley Davidson XL1200 when he lost control of the bike in some loose sand. The motorcycle slid for a short distance and stopped on its side off of the roadway.

Police say Manifold injured his left leg and was taken by an AMR ambulance to a Bloomington Hospital for treatment.

Assisting at the scene was Shawswick Volunteer Fire Department first responders.
