Acting Director Named For Planning And Transportation Department

(BLOOMINGTON) - Dr. Frank Sabatine, Ph.D., will be serving as Acting Director for the City of Bloomington Planning and Transportation Department while a national search for a new director is underway. Christy Langley resigned as director in late January, creating a vacancy.

Sabatine served as Associate Vice President of Economic Development at Ball State University from 2007 until his retirement in 2013. He has held a variety of leadership positions in academia and is the recipient of several prestigious awards including a Sagamore of the Wabash in 2000.

Sabatine will work up to forty hours a week as an independent contractor to the City. He will be paid an hourly rate of $60 and will not be eligible for the regular employee benefits package.
