(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police arrested three teens after they allegedly threatened a man and robbed him Thursday night.

Police arrested two teens, ages 16 and 15 and 19-year-old Jordan Pence of Ellettsville on charges of robbery and criminal confinement.

The two juveniles are being held in the Jackson County Detention Center and Pence in the Monroe County Jail.

According to Bloomington Police Capt. Steve Kellams, officers were call to the Taco Bell on West Third Street at 1:45 p.m. Thursday after an 18-year-old man ran the three miles to the restaurant from Heatherwood Mobile Home Community.

The 18-year-old reported that on Wednesday night, he drank and smoked marijuana with the three teens at a mobile home in the 3600 block of South Leonard Springs Drive. He woke to the three teens confronting him. One had a liquor bottle, the other what appeared to be a handgun and Pence had a knife and switchblade. Police later determined the handgun was an Airsoft gun.

The teens robbed the male of $130. Pence then gave the victim back $20.

Police found Pence and one teen at a residence on West Orchard Drive. The other teen, who lived in the trailer where the alleged crime happened, was brought to the police station by a relative for questioning.

Capt. Kellams says that all three admitted to the robbery, but blamed each other for coming up with the idea. They told police they used the stolen cash to buy marijuana and cigarettes.
