Last updated on Monday, January 30, 2017

(BLOOMINGTON) - A robber targets two Bloomington gas stations Saturday morning.

A masked man entered the Circle K at 4405 East Third Street around 12:40 a.m.

Police say the 66-year-old clerk was sweeping the floor when a man wearing a ski mask entered the store and ordered the clerk to give him all the money. The clerk refused and told the man to "show me the gun." That is when the robber shoved the clerk into a lottery ticket display and left the store. In the parking lot the robber then showed the clerk a hammer and knife and then fled.

Police say the white man is in his late 20s or early 30s and was wearing a dark brown jacket and a ski mask to possibly hide a red beard.

Bloomington Police searched the area but were unable to find the man.

Then at 2:54 a.m., a man matching the description of the Circle K robbery entered the Village Pantry at 901 N. Indiana Ave.

He demanded the 28-year-old clerk hand all them money. The robber did not show the clerk any weapons.

The clerk gave the robber an undisclosed amount of cash and the man fled and was last seen running north on Indiana Avenue.

Anyone with information about the robberies are asked to call the Bloomington Police Department at (812) 339-4477.
