(UNDATED) - The Indiana Department of Transportation announces road closures for two railroad crossing repairs on State Road 60 in Lawrence and Orange Counties.
The first repair will begin Monday, January 16 at a location near Saltillo between County Road 790 E and East Shanks Road. Crews on behalf of CSX will make repairs to the crossing and approaches at this location. Work is expected to take less than a week depending upon weather conditions.
The second will begin Monday January 23 with the crossing located between 6th Street and 2nd Street in Mitchell. Crews with CSX will also make repairs to the crossing and approaches at this location. Again, work is expected to last less than a week depending upon weather conditions.
Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure. The official detour for both crossing repairs uses S.R. 37, S.R. 337, S.R. 56, and S.R. 60.
