Man Arrested After Urinating In Parking Lot Of Dollar Store

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested Wednesday after police say he urinated outside of the Family Dollar Store and was stumbling in front of traffic.

According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers were called to the Family Dollar Store on 16th Street after a report of a man urinating in the parking lot.

When police arrived at 4:08 p.m. they found 49-year-old Christopher Fritzgerald leaning on the side of the building.

"He was clearly intoxicated," Chief Parsley says. "Witness says Mr. Fritzgerald had urinated in public view and was stumbling in and out of traffic."

Officers took Fritzgerald to IU Health Hospital it be medically cleared because of his level of intoxication and he was then transported to the Lawrence County Jail on a charge of public intoxication.
