Last updated on Friday, January 27, 2017

(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man was arrested Tuesday night after he allegedly pointed a loaded handgun at a woman during a domestic fight.

Bloomington Police arrested 27-year-old Brandon Brown on a felony charge of pointing a firearm.

Brown was arrested after police were called to an apartment in the 100 block of East Miller Driver around 8:30 p.m.

Police say the couple had been arguing all day. Brown told police he felt the woman would not let him leave so he got his handgun and pointed the weapon at the woman. The 22-year-old woman then slapped Brown in the face and he called police.

Police say the woman did not at any time keep Brown from leaving the apartment.

The woman was not arrested.
