Jackson Co. REMC Looking For Students For Indiana Youth Tour

(SEYMOUR) - The Jackson County REMC is seeking applicants for its annual Indiana Youth Tour to Washington, D.C. for juniors in high school.

Students will go on an all-inclusive trip to Washington D.C. to meet with representatives and senators, visit historic monuments and museums and make friends from around the country. The trip will take place June 8 to 15.

Applicants must reside with a parent or guardian who is a member of record of Jackson County REMC. They will need to complete an application form and prepare a 250-word essay about how Jackson County REMC improves the quality of life in his or her community. They will also be asked to come into the office for a short interview. Applications are judged on academics, activities in and out of school, community involvement and the contents of the interview and essay.

The deadline for completed Youth to Washington applications is Friday, February 10. Applicants will be notified of selections in early March.
