(SEYMOUR) - The Jackson County REMC is seeking applicants for its annual Indiana Youth Tour to Washington, D.C. for juniors in high school.

Students will go on an all-inclusive trip to Washington D.C. to meet with representatives and senators, visit historic monuments and museums and make friends from around the country. The trip will take place June 8 to 15.

Applicants must reside with a parent or guardian who is a member of record of Jackson County REMC. They will need to complete an application form and prepare a 250-word essay about how Jackson County REMC improves the quality of life in his or her community. They will also be asked to come into the office for a short interview. Applications are judged on academics, activities in and out of school, community involvement and the contents of the interview and essay.
