Indiana University Provost Lauren Robel Named Finalist For Chancellor Position At University Of Hawaii

(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana University Provost Lauren Robel is one of three finalists for the chancellor position at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

The Herald Times reports, Robel will be participating in a final round of interviews at the Manoa campus on January 23 and 24. She is scheduled to participate in an open forum at 3:30 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time or 8:30 p.m. local time on January 24 in the university's architecture auditorium. The presentation will be streamed live on the university's website.

Also via for the position are Sonny Ramaswamy, director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Institute of Food and Agriculture, and John Valery White, acting chancellor for the Nevada System of Higher Education.

If selected as chancellor, Robel will report directly to President David Lassner and oversee the flagship campus of the University of Hawaii's 10-campus system. The campus is located just outside downtown Honolulu, on the island of Oahu.
