(SEYMOUR) - A Brownstown woman was killed Sunday in an accident on I-65 and two others suffered serious injuries.

The accident was reported at 12:10 p.m.

According to Indiana State Trooper Matt Holley and Sgt. Stephen Wheeles, a silver Honda Civic driven by 47-year-old Kimberly Sneed of Brownstown was merging onto northbound I-65 from northbound State Road 11 when she lost control of the vehicle.

The vehicle spun before entering the northbound lanes of I-65. Sneed's vehicle was struck head-on by a blue 2013 Honda CRV being driven by 72-year-old Anthony Bonadonna of Arlington Heights, Illinois.

As a result of the collision, Sneed was transported by ambulance to Columbus Regional Hospital where she died from her injuries.

Police say both Anthony Bonadonna and his wife, 56-year-old Diana Bonadonna, suffered serious injuries and were transported to Schneck Medical Center in Seymour before being transferred to an Indianapolis area hospital for treatment. Their conditions are unknown at this time.

The northbound lanes of I-65 were closed for approximately two hours for crash investigation and cleanup.

The Indiana State Police was assisted by Deputies Adam Nicholson and Rob Henley with the Jackson County Sheriff's Department, the Seymour Police Department, Seymour Fire Department, Jackson County EMS, and Hampton's Wrecker Service.
