Founder Kyle Billman adds, "Plant enthusiasts will be exposed to a whole new world of gardening at Goldleaf. With over a decade of experience in the retail, wholesale, and manufacturing sides of the industry, we are able to offer professional service and a one-on-one customer experience that can't be found at traditional gardening centers. Come pick our brains on plant science and see what technological innovations are on the horizon for cultivation."

April 1, will be the official celebration for the opening of Goldleaf Hydroponics. A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place with the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce the day before on Friday, March 31 at 10 a.m.

"The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce assists local businesses with ribbon cuttings and grand openings as a way to introduce the business to the community and the community to the business. The Chamber invites ambassadors, local elected officials and key stakeholders in the business community to help make meaningful connections and draw publicity for new and growing businesses," said Bloomington Chamber of Commerce Member Services Coordinator Jacquelyn Carnes.

Following the closure of Worm's Way, former employees founded Goldleaf Hydroponics in November 2016 to fill the void felt by customers ranging from Bloomington to the surrounding states. As the natural heirs to the Worm's Way legacy, Goldleaf Hydroponics will continue to serve a national mail order customer base of 40,000 consumers.

Kyle and Monica Billman hope to bring innovative and sustainable cultivation products and practices to hobby and commercial gardeners locally and across the country. Together with Manager Roger Emmick, the Goldleaf Hydro Team boasts over 12 years of classical training in the indoor gardening industry hailing from Worm's Way and Bloomington Wholesale Garden Supply.

Goldleaf specializes in retail sales of indoor and traditional gardening equipment, including organic fertilizers, hydroponic nutrients, horticultural lighting, soil and amendments, environmental controllers and more.
