Free Meal Planned For Saturday At Salem City Hall

Last updated on Friday, January 13, 2017

(SALEM) - A free meal is being planned for 4 p.m. on Saturday, at Salem City Hall.

This event is for anyone who is in need of a warm meal.

The Salem Tribune reports the meal is being organized by SIBR, a local group of volunteers who want to help people in any way they can.

If it is raining during the time the food is to be served, it will be moved to the shelter house at the Elizabeth Street Park.

The group is also collecting gently used clothes, shoes, sleeping bags and blankets if anyone would like to donate.

They are also taking donations of paper plates, silverware or other items that could be used to serve the meal.

For more information, or to make a donation, contact Tina Brading at (812) 620-9708 or Heather Harrison at (812) 896-6024.
