Enthusiastic Doers Needed To Help Prepare For Lawrence County's Bicentennial Celebration

(BEDFORD) - Some “enthusiastic doers” are needed to help prepare for Lawrence County’s Bicentennial celebration.

The county's actual commemoration date is March 1, 2018.

The Lawrence County commissioners appointed Marla Jones, Marla Jones, business and community development director for the city of Bedford, to serve as director of Lawrence County's celebration.

The bicentennial will allow everyone an opportunity to participate in a wide variety of bicentennial projects.

Jones is seeking "enthusiastic doers" to serve on a Lawrence Bicentennial Commission.

"Members of the commission will represent the major segment of the community, but will be small enough to be flexible and efficient," Jones says.
