Edwardsport Man, Bloomfield Woman Arrested After Drugs Found In Vehicle

(PLEASANTVILLE) - Two people are facing charges following a traffic stop in Sullivan County.

It happened Friday afternoon around 3:30 on State Road 159 near Pleasantville.

Sullivan County police becoming suspicious about possible drug activity, after speaking to the occupants.

Police searched the pickup and found meth, marijuana, syringes, digital scales, smoking devices and other drug paraphernalia along with a .45 caliber semi-automatic handgun.

Police arrested the driver, Adam Decoursey of Edwardsport, on felony charges of possession of meth and carrying a handgun without a permit and three counts of possession of a syringe and misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana, driving while his driver's license was suspended and possession of drug paraphernalia.

His passenger, Jessica Nelson of Bloomfield, is facing felony charges of meth, and possession of a syringe and misdemeanor charges of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Indiana State Police Trooper Brent Robinson assisted the Sheriff's Office with the investigation.
