Changes Coming To Limestone Heritage Festival, Parade

Last updated on Wednesday, January 18, 2017

(BEDFORD) - The Limestone Heritage Festival and the 8th Annual BBQ at the Quarry will be celebrated Friday, June 30th and Saturday, July 1st.

Live music, food vendors, a corn hole tournament, bike show, beer garden, limestone carving exhibition and BBQ competition will take place over the two day festival.

Changes are in store for the Limestone Heritage Festival Parade. The parade, which is traditionally held on July 4th, is now scheduled for Saturday July 1st at 6 p.m.

Bedford Revitalization, Inc. officials say the fireworks display was well received in its new downtown location in 2016. But, due to weather concerns last year, BRI board members made the decision to move the fireworks to that Saturday evening. The response from the community was overwhelmingly positive for the fireworks display being on a Saturday evening.

On Tuesday, July 4th, the celebration continues with the Annual Veteran's Breakfast at Golden Corral at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday July 4th will also serve as a rain date for the Limestone Heritage Festival Parade and Fireworks Display.
In the event of inclement weather, the Parade will take place at 6 p.m. with the Fireworks Display at dusk.

Bedford Revitalization, Inc. is proud to showcase our community and the redevelopment of our downtown. The community can come together and enjoy a weekend of entertainment & sense of community, while celebrating the weekend with friends, family and neighbors.
